Wow, holy lack of entries.
It's funny, I was going to use this lj to help me writing, and I've actually written less since I started. (Sidenote: Chipper is a stupid word. Gah.)
I love bittorrent, and have finally been able to see Firefly and Angel episodes, which I wouldn't be able to do normally. (Lack of cable is a serious condition)
I'm really uncomfortable posting comments in other people's journals. I don't really understand the etiquette of introductions and stuff. Wouldn't it be great if there were a site out there with all the unwritten rules written out?
Oh yeah, today's Valentine's Day. CBC radio played insanely hilarious music this morning. Burt Bacharach is a Canadian Song Writing God.
According to some random CBC guy, Love Songs can be divided into 9 categories;
1) Longing eg "I want you" by the Beatles
2) Devotion
3) Bliss
4) Lullabies for Grown-ups eg "Kiss me Tender" by Elvis
5) Gettin' it on eg "Can't get enough of your Love" by Barry White
6) Heartbreak eg "Teen Angel" by various artists
7) Distance eg "Leavin' On a Jet Plane" by various artists
8) Taboo Love
9) Mush
Heh. I am the only person in the world who finds that interesting. I spent a fun time rummaging through my cd's and overanalysing.
Anyway, it was cute watching my parents 'groovin' in the kitchen to all the ridiculous examples of each category.
Now, I'm off to watch Restless after molly_may's last couple of reviews made me all giddy and nostalgic. Spike's so evil when he breaks up the Scoobs. It's neat.
