BtVS Season 7: Parental Expectations
In honour of the last season of Buffy that I will watch with my parents, I assigned them both a little quiz. Obviously, I have had exams on the brain. Anyway, they entered into it in the proper spirit of fun and then mocked each other when I read their responses out loud. I was a little scared by some of the responses and amused by others, and I thought I would post them for posterity. Their answers are in bold. My comments in italics. So, word for word and exclamation mark for exclamation mark, here they are...
Buffy Season 7 Quiz

Who will we see again this season? (Clem, Tara, Riley, Warren, Doublemeat Employees etc.)
Buffy, Xander, Anya, Willow, Spike, Giles, Dawn, Warren Johnathan. Who's Clem? My Dad has difficulty with names and, when my mum was surprised Warren was on the list, had to describe 'the short one who didn't really want Buffy to be hurt' as the Nerd he meant. He remembered when we described the floppy eared guy and decided we would probably see him again.
Who would you like to see return? Not return?
not Riley! I love my Dad. Tara, yes, even as a ghost. Buffy's mum (as a ghost?)
What will happen to the following characters by episode 22? (die, hook up with, turn evil, turn good, turn to jello, etc.)
Buffy: marries Giles! Wha?
Willow: fall to the Bad Side
Xander: just mopes! hee.
Spike: falls for Dawn
Giles: marries Buffy
Dawn: falls for Spike
Anya: leaves Sunnydale which is weird, 'cause my Dad loves Anya.
Tara: nothing - no contact
What Big Bad will Buffy have to fight this year? What [who] would you like it to be?
1) Willow
2) a Time Travelling Demon
General Thoughts/Hopes for the upcoming season?
- happy ending; but unlikely My poor Dad. He's knows ME too well.

Buffy, Giles, Willow, Zander Aagh. I just noticed she spelled Xander wrong. Spike, Dawn, Anya, probably Clem, Johnathan & Andrew.
Who would you like to see return? Not return?
Spike = yes & Seth Green (name?) = yes
Andrew = no My mum decided that Andrew was the worst of the nerds and strongly dislikes him. I'm not sure how she'll react to him as comic foil.
What will happen to the following characters by episode 22? (die, hook up with, turn evil, turn good, turn to jello, etc.)
Buffy: find true love, with Willow or Giles? Why do my parent's keep suggesting Giles and Buffy? Is this an age thing? Gah. I asked Mum later, and she decided Giles might not necessarily be romantic love, unless the Daddy issues changed a lot. They were pretty amused that I was so horrified by this.
Willow: regain her sanity, (remorse & wisdom)
Xander: marry Anya
Spike: find true love with someone other than Buffy
Giles: become Head of the Council ( & appoint Buffy as his successor)
Dawn: graduate
Anya: marry Zander & have a 2-for-1 sale heh.
Tara: appear in Willow's dreams to tell her she is still lovable & will be okay
What Big Bad will Buffy have to fight this year? What [who] would you like it to be?
her evil twin or another robot Buffy only smarter
General Thoughts/Hopes for the upcoming season?
that Giles doesn't get beaten up as much, finds love - becomes confident. Actually, I'd like that for everyone.
Wow. This season will certainly be interesting.
