It scares me at how much people miss out on things in life to live according the god. I was browsing Myspace and found an old friend, Josh Argo. It wasn't until I starting reading his blogs and seeing that he is cutting communication with certain friends because they aren't god like, that I remembered why I stop talking to him in the first place. I understand that some people need some spiritual grip on reality to balance their lives, but it seems with Christianity people actually become less realistic.
My step-father is a prime example. In 1993, my mom was remarried and Joel became my step-father and sort of gave me a crash course to Christianity. He told me in 7 years Christ would come to Earth and judgment day would take place. He told me basically all lies, and although he is the type of person that exaggerates, he's just an extension of the faith.
I just wish everyone would stop restricting themselves. I have faith. I used to have faith in the human race, and realized the above, that the large majority of the people that I have evolved with are nonetheless living a dream. I now carry faith in myself. And it's odd, that to have that belief, pride, is a sin?
One word, people, well, three... WTF.
