Still alive (barely)

I keep meaning to write a real post, but I've been so busy that as soon as I have free time, I basically just crash & burn and go to bed, it seems like. ^^; I got a short job at the local children's theater manning the soundboard for their production of "A Year With Frog & Toad", and while it's been fun so far it's been rather exhausting. Thankfully, Saturday is the performance, so after that I'll be free to work on other stuff again...so maybe after that I'll finally finish writing up a more detailed post on Anime Boston. @__@

My birthday was on the 2nd, and thanks to those who sent me b-day messages! ♥ So sweet of you. We didn't do anything earth-shattering for my bday, but that's ok considering all the excitement I already had at Anime Boston. We did go out to eat at a new Japanese place in town--which ended up being surprisingly good! I was very pleased. Most Asian places around here are a combo of American Chinese food/"Teriyaki"/American Sushi with gallons of mayo drizzled on top of em. And while this place did have a few of those things, their regular standard sushi was pretty great quality. (I had maguro and tako, 2 of my faves, and they tasted great!) I also had vegetable tempura, since I hadn't had that in a long time, and we had green tea mochi ice cream for dessert. ^^ Zack also surprised me with a copy of the new Ranma 1/2 blu-ray set for my birthday, which made me so happy! Delicious HD Ranma goodness~ x3

Working on sound for the play has been fun (though tiring, like I said before. xD;; ) Last night was our first dress rehearsal and amazingly we had no major goofs. We even got a text from one of the staff saying how great everything sounded, and that she could hear everyone speak clearly from the audience (which is apparently hard to do in that theater sometimes). So I was pretty proud, considering I've never really done this before. I wish I could record some clips of the show, but sadly they couldn't afford to buy video rights for the production, so people can only take photos. :/ But oh, well. Oh, I was also in charge of coming up with jazzy pre-show music to play while the audience takes their seats, and I managed to sneak in some tracks from both Cowboy Bebop and Baccano!, since they both have jazz-inspired soundtracks. lol, I know, dumb for me to get all excited about that...BUT I HAD TO DO IT.

Other than that, I'm still trying to work on this month's podcast (it'll prolly be a little late...argh. ^^;) and the backlog of other things I fell behind on. Hope everyone's having a good April so far!
