Ok, so still haven't finished writing up about my WA trip yet. *hides in shame* I swear I will get it up soon. SOON! ;A; *pets her poor untouched LJ*
So you get a regular old, boring post from me until then. Sorry. XD
I started my Video Production "class" that nitrozsz is teaching me this month. So far it seems to be going well! My first assignment was to shoot video of a subject of my choosing (I ended up choosing the kitties, since that was the easiest thing to do) and then edit my footage together into a video. I think it came out alright...I'd done something similar to that only ONCE before, but it was a long time ago (and it was just using the Windows Media software, which isn't that great)...so for a first attempt in a long time, it wasn't so bad. I might upload it later. (It's not anything special, but meh.) My second assignment was a handful of timing exercises, where I had to match footage Zack picked out specifically to music or sound clips (in some instances, speeding up or slowing down footage to match beats). That was a lot harder, but I seemed to do alright. My next assignment is to come up with an outline for a full-fledged amv...which I'm a little nervous about, but I won't learn how to do stuff like that until I actually start doing it, so I'm trying to think of something that won't be too difficult.
My weekly weigh-in was super good this week! I lost all the weight I had gained over New Years, which was great. Now I'm back to being on track, which makes me really happy. ^^
I was also surprised to find a set of brand new gaming dice at the Goodwill today...for the princely sum of 60 cents!
I haven't played a table-top game in years, but really...for that price, could you blame me for just getting them, anyway? XD They're a pretty green and silver metallic, marbled together.
The weather today was shockingly nice, considering it's been raining buckets here the last few days. The weatherman had said last night it was going to be chilly and rainy all day...then I woke up to clear-ish skies, sun, and almost 70 degrees F today. O__o Crazy. (I hope that doesn't mean we're going to get an early Summer this year...orz)
Other that that, I'm still trying to finish up things I've been meaning to get back to since I got home from my trip, and also getting started on my recent commission, so...kinda boring and stuff. But at least I'm getting things done!
