ムーン・プリズム・パワー・メイクアップ !
So my pre-order for Sailor Moon vol. 1 and Sailor V vol. 1 came in the mail a few days ago. I'm glad I pre-ordered them quite some time ago, so I didn't have to worry about being broke right now and not being able to afford them (which was nice). Sad as it might sound (lolpatheticnerdalert), this was probably the highlight of my week. XD
Seriously, though...it's nice to have English versions of both of these that are not only translated well, but aren't cheaply put together & thus falling apart (both reasons why I never bought Mixx/Tokyopop's graphic novels back in the day--I once picked up a brand new copy of one of the books at Waldenbooks when they were "new", and several pages actually FELL OUT when I took it from the shelf. x__x) I know there have been a few complaints/nitpicks about Kodansha's translation, but really...I think it's leaps and bounds better than the previous version. (My only disappointment was that they've translated Usagi's nickname of "dumpling head" to "buns head"...which I guess is understandable, but it hits the ear a little strangely.)
Plus, I'm sure I'm kinda biased, since this one ranks high on nostalgia factor for me, of course I'm going to be happy to just see it in print again, lol. XD
In other news, Zack and I are bound & determined to FINALLY do our garage sale this weekend. We keep having stuff come up to prevent it, but I'm sick of having to put it off. So it's now or never time, I guess. We got a lot done this morning, hopefully tomorrow we won't be running around in a panic trying to figure out what else we need to do.
