Let's have a real post, shall we?
On Friday,
nitrozsz and I went and had lunch & saw Iron Man 2, not only because we'd been looking forward to it for ages, but also to celebrate the fact that he recently got a raise. :D Of course we both loved it. Regardless of a few small flaws, it was still awesome and incredibly fun to watch. (Though it WOULD have been much more enjoyable if the 6 year old that was sitting in the seat behind me had been better well-behaved and didn't start kicking my seat every time he started getting bored. Thankfully, he stopped doing that by the end of the movie.)
I put in a few more applications around town, hopefully someone calls back. While everyone tells me not to worry, and that I'm sure to find something soon, it's just starting to get annoying. It almost seems like, to me, a lot of people are nervous about hiring me because my last job was out of state. :/ (Well, DUH, it was out of state--I just moved here! Ugh.) But I'm trying not to let it get me down too much. All I can do is keep trying until I find something that sticks, right?
And a big Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome moms on my flist. You guys are amazing, I seriously have a lot of respect for you all--being a mom is hard work. So hopefully today will be a fun/relaxing/nice day for you, you deserve it! I'm sure I'll be calling my mom later to see how she's doing. I mailed her a gift on Monday, and she got it, but she said she wasn't going to open it until today, heh. (I had fun making it, too--it's a 3-photo picture frame that has pictures of me spelling out "I love you" on different sheets of paper. I figured she didn't have a more recent, physical photo of me, so she might like something like that.) I made Zack's mom a gift, too, because she's been nothing but awesome to me since I moved down here. I ended up making her a Felt Pal of Dwight from "The Office"!
Felt Dwight, complete with Jello Stapler! XD Dwight's her favorite character, so I couldn't resist. (Sorry the pic's not that great--my camera battery's charging, so I used my cell phone, heh.)
I had so much fun making him. XD I really like how he turned out.
Hmm. Other than that, not a ton has been going on. I checked out even more books from the library, finished recording lines for ep. 8 of KOR Theater (which I'll be posting shortly, FINALLY!), and I've also been helping Zack study for his finals. It's been kind of rough on him, the poor thing...but I know that he's working really hard, and he'll do just fine.
And now...it's definitely time for some breakfast.
