Странники это взгляд на расширение человечества в солнечной системе, основанный на научных идеях и концепциях о том, как наше будущее во вселенной будет выглядеть, если оно когда-нибудь случится. Места, показанные в фильме, являются цифровыми копиями мест солнечной системы, построенные на реальных фотографиях и картографических данных. Без определенной истории, кроме той, что вы можете придумать сами, идея фильма, в первую очередь, показать представление о фантастически прекрасной природе, которая окружает нас в соседних мирах- и, главное, какой бы она показалась нам, если бы мы были там.

Wanderers is a vision of humanity's expansion into the Solar System, based on scientific ideas and concepts of what our future in space might look like, if it ever happens. The locations depicted in the film are digital recreations of actual places in the Solar System, built from real photos and map data where available.
Without any apparent story, other than what you may fill in by yourself, the idea of the film is primarily to show a glimpse of the fantastic and beautiful nature that surrounds us on our neighboring worlds - and above all, how it might appear to us if we were there.
As some may notice I have borrowed ideas and concepts from science fiction authors such as Kim Stanley Robinson and Arthur C. Clarke, just to name a few. And visually, I of course owe many tips of my hat to painter Chesley Bonestell - the legendary master of space art.
More directly, with kind permission from Ann Druyan I have also borrowed the voice of astronomer and author Carl Sagan to narrate the film. The audio I used are excerpts from his own reading of his book 'Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space' (1994, Random House, http://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/boo...) - needless to say, a huge inspiration for this film.

Originally uploaded to Google Video in July of 2007 (with very nearly 50,000 views to its credit there), "Wanderers" finally makes its official, full-length (40 minutes), full-resolution, "unmodified" debut on YouTube. A quick scan of the other videos in the righthand column reveals a good many random, lower-resolution "versions" of this video (including one version very kindly subbed in Spanish!) that have been uploaded by others over the years. Thanks to all for keeping the fire burning. With Google Video's migration to YouTube now underway, I'm pleased to finally be able to bring this old war horse back to the stable.

Some time before he died in 1996, Carl Sagan recorded a partial audio version of his 1994 book "Pale Blue Dot". Often described as the "sequel" to Cosmos, the audio version of Pale Blue Dot is, at this moment, regrettably out of print.
This video represents an "episode one" of sorts, the beginning of an unauthorized video series based on Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" audio book, combined with a soundtrack and appropriate images intended to recall the feel of classic BBC/PBS documentary series, such as "Ascent of Man" and "Cosmos". Episode two, in production seemingly forever, is on its way.
