Deputy Captain's Log - Entry 30 - 12/28 - 1622 Hours
Well, everyone, I have two bits of good news.
First, I've just heard from the crew repairing the Hagane. She'll be spaceworthy again in three months.
And second...my service record has been reviewed by the higher-ups. They've been pleased with my effort as Deputy Captain of the Kurogane, and they've decided to make my temporary promotion a permanent one. So now I officially hold the rank of commander.
I'll do my best to uphold my new rank. This I promise.
