XO's Log - Entry 16 - 3/22 - 1823 Hours
Well, that's it. The DC's leaders have been defeated. Now all that's left to do is clean up the remnants. Like the Kurogane.
...Speaking of which, that was a close call. Way too close. I'm just thankful we had two combatants who can think on their feet aboard. I'm not sure if the Hagane's final salvo would have stopped that drill.
Of course...a better XO wouldn't have let his ship get into that predicament in the first place. Something went terribly wrong there. Either intelligence screwed up, or the Kurogane arrived at Aidoneus Island shortly before our assault force did. Either way, the result was unacceptable. The Hagane should not have been damaged as much as it was, particularly for mission-critical equipment. Everyone, I apologize for the inconvenience my inexperience brought on out there.
