EEEEeeeEEEEeeee!

I'm in a good mood today, not sure why, but not gonna argue with it. Had a weird experience, that may have something to do with it, actually.
Muhammed-from-Karachi was hitting on me in Burger King today, realized after ten minutes or so that this is the same guy who used to hit on my mother when we lived in Vancouver (!!!) and he didn't recognize me. He's probably forty, puts him right smack-dab between Mum and me for age, but it's weird to have the same guy hitting on both.
He's sort of creepy, in that I-don't-know-my-way-around-culturally-yet sort of way, but I know for a fact he's been in Canada since 1997, his English is strong and he's got no excuse for talking about female reproduction like it's a commodity and he's shopping for a cute womb. Ick. Was so mindblown to hear him talk about 'healthy beautiful babies' being more common from white women, didn't know what to say. All very disturbing, but also bizarrely flattering. Must now go and dive off my balcony.
Back now. Younger brother ensconced on my sofa now, bought him some pyjamas so he'd stop trying to sleep with his shoes on, now he takes the shoes OFF, but still wears his street clothes to sleep. Oh, and eight years on his own apparently means nothing, he's still the same odd kid he always was, won't brush his teeth, tries WAY too hard to be funny and 'with it' (I swear he said that, it wasn't me) and insists on tucking his T-shirts into his underwear. He's 28 years old and he can't even dress himself!
But we're not having conflicts. That was my primary concern, having to deal with him pretending to be 'man of the house', which he used to do all the time when we were younger. I'd have to knock him down the stairs if he tried it again. It was annoying enough when he was trying to pick my friends for me (I was fifteen and he was thirteen) and Mum would demand that I take him with me, if I was going out.
Is that a universal pain in the ass, or what? And of course, I made all of the same oaths - I'll never do that to MY kid - but I think I would, just for the amusement value. Ee hee hee!
Oh, and another reason to be in a good mood - I LOVE this song. It's the best love song I've heard in a long time.

happy kermit flail, the kinfolk are restless tonight, weird encounter, grrr.
