Happy birthday to me!
OK, so I'm 37. Rapidly approaching forty years, and I still feel like I couldn't possibly be older than 25. I don't know enough! I don't have adult mystique!
I am so not mature enough to be this far past my teen years.
But I am. Huh.
So, came home from work (at 1AM, so this is totally valid) and got my birthday present from Jay - New Super Mario Bros for the Wii! Love it. We played for a couple of hours, after eating ribs and salad that I didn't have to prepare. This is always nice.
I kind of suck at the game in 2P mode, but on my own, I'm pretty good. Jay observed that it's a good game to grief your friends with - it's pretty easy to knock the other player around and steal extra 1-ups and power-ups if you try. Still, fun. And I like the challenge modes. Now I have something other than Pikmin 2 to play when I need to feel competent.
Also, shortly after I left for work today, my Bidz.com order arrived! I now have a very pretty (Jay calls it blingy) ring. So that was waiting for me when I got in, and I'm wearing it now because it's sparkly and pretty and wow, it's on my left hand and I think I just went a little blind. Heh. I love it! It only cost me $20.55 after S&H.
