Boy oh boy did you hit the nail on the head. God forbid Savannah or Hunter-'cause they all have trendy, yuppie names now, not Sue or John-be held accountable for their actions. GOD FORBID a teacher use *gasp* red ink, because of the connotation with *OMIGODRedInk* is that of failure (Hey dipshits, they got it WRONG. A flowery cheerful ink will not disguse the FAIL.). God forbid they can't just traipse thru life like it's a party all the time.

I saw this kind of shit in school recently. Us oldsters? We were there on time, ready to go at 8am. The young set? Not so much. Some were there on time, but clearly had about 20 minutes sleep the night before and were terribly hung over. Others, late by as much as 40 minutes. It was stated, very clearly and in multiple locations mind you, that if you miss ANY of the class you're out of the program. No ifs ands or butts. One girl a missed class. Claimed food poisoning-No doctor visit? Hrrm. More likely alcohol poisoning as she'd regularly stay out 'till 4 drinking. Food poisoning my arse Do you know they let her back in? I was LIVID. That same week was the week I totaled the car, had a RAGING headache and was terribly sore for most of the week (hello whiplash!), didn't start on the week's work 'til Wednesday and still managed to show up for class amidst trying to deal with insurance hassles and getting a rental car. Oh, and I think also scored a low 90 something on the test. And yet she was allowed to return.

Yes. They should teach consequences. Absolutely. We're raising a generation of slackers and whiners.
