So, I went to a concert tonight...

OMFG GREAT BIG SEA IS AWESOME.

Also, funny and very warm with the banter and such. Plus, they're big on audience participation, which I love.

Heh. I'm going to be SO HOARSE in the morning, but it was absolutely worth it. Screaming the lyrics to Mari-Mac and The Old Black Rum along with Alli and Jay and Reg (and a thousand or two other people) was a riot and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

A fun treat? When they played I would Be (500 Miles) and Bohemian Rhapsody and had the audience fill in lines.

Their finale was Old Brown's Daughter, a capella, and it was lovely. Truly lovely.

Actually, just BEFORE the show started, The Mum called me and was terribly envious of the fact that we were going to see that particular show - she's rediscovered her love of the band, and of music in general. If I'd known she would be willing to go, I'd have recommended that she call the venue... they were still selling tickets half an hour before house lights down.

Ooh, and there's a candy store on Robson just below Granville now. I think it used to be a Bang-On, but they have some of the candies I remember from 25 years ago, and we went in and got stuff. I have just eaten a box of Lucky Elephant pink candy popcorn, and I have a little bag filled with silver, light blue, and orange M&Ms. Until tonight, I didn't even know you could buy them in single colours.

Mmmm, colours.
