First post from the new laptop. It's SO SHINY. It even showed me how to pirate wi-fi from somebody nearby.
WTF, Microsoft? Weren't you guys all up in arms about that sort of thing? Oh, wait, that's just software you care about, not bandwidth.
Don't worry, everybody, I'm getting my own paid service ASAP, but it was really cool to find out I can scope my housing complex. I hope there's an unsecured network near The Job, though.
Ah, I love my Machine Baby. Still, all is not peachy-keen and sunshiny with the world. I don't have a Wii yet. I was ready to buy the $400 package plus Twilight Princess, but they were already sold out of systems. The bundle price, though, includes the basic unit and controller-with-nunchuck, plus WiiPlay, which itself includes a second controller, but not a second nunchuck, and has additional games.
Erm, but I did get some more DVDs. No laughing, palmer_kun. Erm, or else. Seriously. *loads DVD into shiny new laptop and feels smug*
ETA: Hmm. Yep, I'm officially spoiled now. Know what? I'm enjoying it. It's almost like being a kid again and getting exactly what I really wanted for my birthday, after some long, horrible stretch where nothing was going well and I couldn't figure out how to make things even a bit better.
