OH MY GOD. NOT FUCKING FUNNY, UNIVERSE.
40 DEGREES IS NOT WEST COAST CANADIAN WEATHER. EVER.
I spent the day tromping about in this heat. My face has taken on a red cast, and I'm hoping this doesn't mean sunburn, but at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean sunstroke, because that would suck SO VERY MUCH MORE.
My feet hurt, but I got my eye exam dealt with, and had my shoulder X-rayed.
I've been having pain and seriously reduced range of motion in my left shoulder. Seems quite possible that this is one of those long-term after-effects of the accident, since that's the side that got slammed. Eye exam: I have apparently got early warning signs for glaucoma, though there's no guarantee it will become an actual problem as long as I manage my diabetes well. BLARGH, frankly.
Saw Transformers. Was utterly tickled when Bumblebee first transformed and they used the original changey-noise from the cartoon. I never cared for the cartoon at all, but my brother was obsessed with it. The movie? I like Shia LeBoeuf (Did you know his name translates approximately to Thank god for beef? Bizarre.), but I really wanted to scrape the makeup off Megan Fox's face for most of the movie. Am pleased that Optimus Prime sounds like Optimus Prime. Had no idea about the reason they came to Earth in the first place, but it does make sense, give what a tool Megatron always seemed. Overall, enjoyed it lots.
At some point in the next week, I have to go and buy tickets for the July 20 showing of HP5 that ends closest to midnight at Strawberry Hill, so VS and I can do the whole thing in one fell swoop.
