The eyes of the half asleep

The lights are blurring as I count them...
1...2...3... shit was that four... losing count sucked, then you have to start all over again in hopes that you can follow every lamp on the side of the street. It's hopeless here. Just hopeless.

Suddenly my eyes begin to drape. Almost like each lid is holding a twenty pound brick. I know this is it, it's almost as simple as counting sheep, only... not. The sheep play around until the restless mind comes to an end and you are finally playing with the sheep (running, because you fear that a sheep will knock you over). But if you count street lamps its like counting the number of holes in the ceiling tile. You just can't do it. Eventually you get tired of focusing on the little dots and you loose count. I know, it happens all the time to me.

But I am going on a tangent. The lights begin to blur and I begin to slowly subcome to my defeat. God sleep is evil. It comes at ANY moment striking you from behind and knocking you over, kinda like the friends I had in High School. Knocks you right on your ass...
