Testing the Blackbird leads to more than one issue concerning it flying. The foldable wings don't have a long enough wingspan to achieve to achieve actual flight at the top speeds the Blackbird can reach.
Increasing the thrust and maximum speed of the Blackbird would require a heavier and more powerful engine, which would only mean that it would need more thrust to get lift.
Facing the options here, I'd probably have to re-do the wings from scratch, find a viable solution that solves the increased weight versus maximum speed problem, or go for an entirely unrelated solution.
I'm leaning towards the third.
