Stupid Myspace... i've kinda become addicted, even though i think it's kinda stupid. And VERY unreliable, i keep trying to look at stuff but it's always down for routine maintenance or the server is busy or whatever. But anyway, you can find me there at:

I posted this there on Sunday, about my first clubbing experience:

So last night i went clubbing for the first time. It was ok. It was fun only because i was with some cool people, the rest of it sucked. I went with Charline and Nate and some friends of theirs who i didn't know.

We headed off to Worcester, and couldnt' find a parking space to save our lives because apparently there was some kind of country shindig doing on at the DCU center. Every garage and lot we found was full. We drove around for about 20 mins looking for a space. We finally found one, in a small lot about a 15 min walk away. So we start walking back to the Atrium, and see that right by our parking lot is a sketchy looking bar, which we considered going into because Charline had to pee so bad. (We'd started drinking a little early in effort to save money later.) But it proved too sketch so we just kept walking.

We finally got there, paid the cover, and got in. And it was dead. Apparently it's the "new and improved" Atrium but it was just a small bar, with a door to another room where there was dancier music playing but no one dancing, and it was so dark that the few guys just sprinkled around creeped us out. It basically sucked. And then all these cowboys came in, and we're like oh christ. So after one drink we all left and walked over to Sh'booms.

That's a pretty trashy place. Right as we walked in, we were by a small crowd of people watching two girls make out and rub each other down... which may have been amusing if they weren't so ugly. Then it was just perplexing. I dunno.

We went into the dancing rooms, and it was interesting. I really don't like any of that music, and i'm not a big dancer, so sometimes it was painful. Once in a while they'd play a song i knew, so i could get into it a little more then. And like twice they played songs i actually LIKED, and those were good times. Except for the fact that it felt like a shark tank, becuase all the guys could like SMELL the fact that there were 3 cute girls dancing together, and they'd swarm. We'd brush them off, nicely at first, then a fine "fuck you" to whoever didn't get it or got fresh. It's like, i like my ass how it is, if you keep banging yourself against it it's gonna swell. *sigh*

One funny bit of social observation is that whenever Nate would dance with us, only one or two guys would approach. As soon as he left, it was 10. And it's not like Nate's a scary guy, it's just like it's a territorial thing or something. I liked having a deterrant. Made my life easier. ha.

So Sh'booms should pass out free deodorant to its patrons cuz they stink. Bad.

At about 1:45 we walked back to the car, because our lot closed at 2. As we were passing the sketch bar again, there were about a hundred of Worcester's finest lined up outside, fighting each other, dry humping, all that good stuff. Gotta love it. We get up to our lot and a lot of those people have migrated and are practically blocking the exit to the lot. Someone in an SUV is trying to get out, and when they see they can't, they start backing up. There's a Taurus behind them. We're saying stuff like "don't do it!" and the Taurus is beeping, but the guy's oblivious and hits him. We're like GREAAAAAAAAAAT, we're gonna be here forever. Like 15 mins later, we can finally leave the lot. But a couple of the finest crackheads ever are standing in our way. We wait a minute, then Nate toots on the horn a bit just to get their attention. They come over to his and my window and are tapping their 6 inch red fingernails on the windows and are like, "Hey, you fit! Hey, you fit!" until a cop came over and told them to knock it off and moved them aside, then stopped a truck to let us out. It was like he was thinking, "I gotta get these little white kids outta here before they get killed!" hahaha.

So, all in all, clubbing is even worse than i expected, and my negative feelings about Worcester are reaffirmed.

But will i do it again? Probably. What else is there to do on a Saturday night?

charline, myspace, dancing
