Cameron never finds a way to explain that, but it has something to do with the chameleon definition of perfect...Well, there is no hiding in plain sight going on here, it's all simply perfect! The language and imagery and emotion in this story is amazing. You have given Cameron a voice and it is the absolutely correct one. I can visualize him growing up guilt ridden, alienated, setting fires and acting out in rebellion because he doesn't have the first clue about how to be someone like Aiden so he takes the opposite tack. Yet, it all doesn't matter because at bottom, where it matters, he's a good person and he knows what it is to love and those qualities between them manage to soundly trump the emotional dysfunction of his world. Morgan is marvelous and I like that not only are they both gay but that it's Sonny and Michael who can't come to terms with the reality and Carly and Elizabeth who simply accept it as just another facet of their sons' respective personalities. You've also sketched a very interesting portrait of Elizabeth and that is challenging to do because she's such a contradictory character-selfish one instant, earth mother the next. Your writing makes me jealous but I love reading it...

It's always tough to develop next generation characters, but I feel like they've given a lot of clues to how Cameron will turn out. He has a lot of issues but he's a good person deep down and that makes the difference.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback! I'm really glad you liked the fic. :)
