Class, Please Settle Down

We are young. In the eyes of the world, the galaxy, time itself and our peers, we are so very young. Infants, barely out of diapers, crawling around the universe with guns and C4.

If I wasn’t one of them, I might be scared.

But I am, and I have to tell you: while it may take us a while, we learn. We understand, we comprehend, and much more importantly: we try.

You waited to be saved, the damsel in distress, and we showed up- not on a white mount but stumbling legs, not in shining armor but TAC vests and determination.

I have news for you: we are young, but we are growing older every day. And we already know so much that you never bothered to learn.

And if you don’t like that? Do it yourself. Stop sitting around and rise to the challenge. Prove that you’re not as stupid, suicidal, insane as we are.

You are elders, but that does not make you wise.

We are children, but that does not make us naïve.

Out of the mouthes of babes, after all.
