Sirius Black will never be normal. He will never sit back and chuckle heartily at his fair maiden wife's naive humor because he will never have a wife. He will never be demanding or demeaning of her, because she will never exist.
Sirius will never consider what he's lost, or what might have been. He will float on through life seemingly unaware, masking moods that shift like the currents, left to battle his way out of tide. He will accept life as it is, accept the distinct admiration, and the closer distrust. Never will he question those closest to them, even when they have succumbed to their demons. Sirius will never think to question his rash decisions, never second guess, or torture himself with "what-ifs". It will never be in his nature to do so.
He will wander through his life -which will be cut short- believing his impulsiveness and moods are natural, that they are something harmless. He will blame his anger on his upbringing, on the dysfunctional hellhole he was forced to prove himself against. The bouts of paranoia will fail to strike him as odd, or unusual; he will say that it's simply his way.
He will always be wrong.
