Today in class we watched a video that was highlighting specific horrendous child abuse cases in the state of Michigan. It was sooo hard to watch. My stomach felt so sick, thinking that PARENTS can do these things to their children. I mean, obviously I already knew that this happened, but seeing it is far different than just an acute awareness that it does actually occur. However, it made me realize that I am definitely going into the right area. I wish it was already my senior year atleast, so that I could do an active internship. I hate feeling like I could be doing something now but that I have to wait a couple of years until I am allowed to be involved in these kinds of situations. It's frustrating. I think it will be a very rewarding career though, I can't wait.
