Apparently seeing creepy dolls at a shop IRL spurs me to dream about taxidermied people.
In looking for a fireplace, I was climbing a spiral staircase (a lady told me there was a fireplace there) and I just kept passing these mannequin bodies. Their eyes were like glass and their figures were posed to imitate real life. As soon as I saw them (for I didn't let my eyes linger long), I immediately galloped down the stairs, taking two at a time. For a short while I was trapped in this building with no escape in sight. There were more of these once-living dolls around every corner. And people were walking through as if this was a museum--no big deal at all. How could anyone, anyone find something like this interesting? It was like the bodies exhibit, but with flesh.
The "fireplace" was HP inspired. Floo powder, apparently. I only read three of the books, but sometimes I still have a wand in hand and mutter lumos. The dream is slipping away faster than usual. The rest that I remember? Needing to get a new wand, standing in a fire-pit hoping to be transported to Diagon Alley. That didn't work, so I broke into a haunted mansion (jumped a tall fence in one single bound, posse in tow). The rooms kept shifting, so it was hard to get a real handle on the layout. Doorknobs dissolved beneath my fingertips. But as soon as I discovered the fireplace, I threw a handful of powder into it and hoped with all my might. I ended up at my intended destination. It was here that I went to the bank, met two ragamuffin accomplices who were nice (but wanted by the law). I offered to buy them lunch, telling the officer they were with me. The popo tried to get them to sign their names on a piece of paper (for identity's sake, to catch them in the act), but I waved him off and dragged them away. I really don't remember much after that.
There was a scene (totally out of place) where I let loose a huge lumos ball, a monster, and a few empty parking lots.
Then again, this was nothing compared to my naked on a cliff dream (the night before last). There is lots of "trapped" imagery going on in sleepy world. Still, I find ways to overcome it somehow. Maybe it's a foreshadowing of real life.
Well, my haircut's today. Better start getting ready.
