I've been watching
The Black Donnellys _miss_frost was so kind to get for me. Thank you, darling. So, anyway, I've been watching it - mostly because of Olivia Wilde, there's no point in running from it - and I sort of understand why it has been taken off the air. It's not bad bad. It's just... kinda bad. I mean, I sort of like it. Mostly because it has Olivia Wilde in it, and she totally rocks those damaged, angsty, tough and yet fragile three-seconds-from-spilling-tears-from-those-pretty-pretty-eyes-when-no-one-is-looking roles. And the soundtrack on that show is awesome. So that's basically 2:1 for the Donnellys.
But what I wanted to say is, the soundtrack. I did a search for the lyrics on this beautiful song I've heard in episode 5 and Google told me it's Emiliana Torrini's Today Has Been Okay. I ran off to steal download it, and it turned out that the same song is featured on Grey's Anatomy soundtrack. Torrini's song is one of the dozen ones I've been hearing in various TV shows which also appeared on Grey's soundtrack.
So basically, my point in all of this is: this is not a post about The Black Donnellys or yet another weak excuse for me to write about Olivia's pretty eyes, it's about how interesting it is that Grey's Anatomy has all the best songs on its soundtrack and still manages to suck big time.
How is that possible?
