A few things I feel the need to mention.
++ There's something about New York, New York that makes me feel like jumping up on the table top and singing out the chorus in my loudest and very off key voice. It's amazing. That song and All That Jazz, the way C. Z. Jones does it in Chicago, rolling around on the top of grand piano in, pretty much, her undergarments and noting else. You just watch, one day I’ll do it.
++ In other news, I love having ex boyfriends. My god, they are fantastic. I recommend them. Every lesbian should have one. One of mine's in this quirky electronic engineer who is such a terrible comic that it's hilarious. He came over the other day and did his routine and I laughed so hard my sides hurt. In the end, he announced that he is willing to wait for me if I ever decide to start dating men again. Aw. How sweet.
++ And speaking of comedians… stand-up comedy is the most brilliant thing ever. I got a Comedy Central DVD for Christmas and it’s the best present I ever got.
++ My mom is turning into an even bigger WMC fangirl than I am. I need to kick up my fangirlishness up a notch; I cannot get beaten in squealing by my mother! Dude.
++ Once again I’ve discovered the awesomeness of Mariska Hargitay Olivia Benson. Whenever some new shiny fictional detective distracts me and I think to myself: this is it! I end up running back to her because, obviously, she’s the woman of my dreams.
++ The Lady Cop is very sweet. She sent me a nice little Christmas message. I felt bad for stuffing my face and prancing around with my gifts while she froze her ass off working the holiday shift. The poor thing is working on New Year’s Eve, too.
