So I get home from school and we head out to go to the Eagles, which is a club (not dancey, a club, like with members) with a bar and a restaurant. They're very....Lent-y. Or is it Lental? >.>

Anyhow, we go there because Dad's parents, Mum, and my aunt like fish (and my aunt and grandparents are members). Dad, Matthew, and I were promised chicken. I was not aware that this was ALL THEY HAD. I am not much a fan of chicken tenders, let me tell you, but this place has good fish apparently and they wanted it so what the hey.

Waitress gets to us and we order? No chicken. They ran out of it at LUNCH WTF. My brother decided to just get MacAndCheese (a side, but eh) and THEY'RE OUT OF THAT TOO. So we're just all okay, y'all eat your damn fish and we'll get something later. This was fine because my family can't shut up while we're all at a table so it's not like I'd be bored. XD

Now they get their fish and about five minutes later my aunt mentions that everyone's gonna be staring and wondering why my brother and I (my father was at the end of the table hidden in shadow XD) weren't being fed. My brother and I joked that we were going to stare sadly and longingly at everything and lick the butter packets. Cuz we're bad. XD My aunt says that we could have bread...if we had any, so we look for our waitress. We snag another one because hey, it's just bread. And tarter sauce, cuz my mum didn't get any (she wasn't even ASKED yet they got some for Papa apparently).

She goes to another waitress and is talking to her and from their expressions it seems like a really big problem for her to get us bread. >.> The other waitress goes into the back and I'm watching this like TV because I can see. XD Other waitress comes out of the back with NOTHING and goes to our waitress whom I now see is over at some bar thing doing SOMETHING and surely must tell her. Our waitress still doesn't come and my aunt asks what the heck is so hard about getting bread so I recount the soap opera to her and ho is she pissed. XD She gets up and goes OVER there and brings back the bread and tarter sauce herself.

She tells us when she sits down that the waitress was going to give us two slices of bread (wtf? complimentary and she KNOWS there wa SEVEN of us). Very damn. >.> I don't think we left her much of a tip considering she was never THERE and didn't ask for sides and was just....eh. She was talking to the table behind us and mentioned something about perogies which made us go "wha? why do THEY get perogies?" and Matthew going "what's a perogie?"

During all this the lights were flickering off and on, too. XD The wind was kicking power's ass last night.

After dinner we went to Wal-mart and I got Chinese food so I guess it's okay. XD But damn. Fricking Lent. No more Catholic-based restaurants during Lent, you hear me!
