i came home from the city yesterday morning to news of one of my brother's ice hockey teammates at monmouth university having hanged himself thursday. it's so numbing. the whole team is absolutely devastated. i just saw him a week ago at the last game...matt just saw him on wednesday for practice. he was one of the happiest/goofiest/life of the party-type people. i don't know how this could have happened, and i guess in most instances like this, you never really get that answered.

sidebar: i had a great time at open bar/the photo finish showcase/after party thursday night. the recover "reunion" set was everything i expected and more. i spent some time with the best people, had too much to drink, yelled a lot, and got myself even more sick. i wish cmj was everyday.
