BOY!
i was really hoping for a girl...like really really really hoping & praying for a girl, but no. it's a boy.
but don't get me wrong, i'm thrilled. just don't know how happy my son will be dressing in pink and being called 'maddie' - short for madeleine. then again, he won't really know the diff until he's a few years old, right? hehe. ok, i'm not that evil!
preparing for ultrasounds are really painful! they tell you to drink a litre of water 2 hrs before your appt & you can't pee! i couldn't hold it in - so i peed 2 times before the actual appt. then drank more water. luckily she only needed my bladder full for the first two minutes and then the technician let me go to the bathroom. for the next 20min, she didn't really say much to me - just kept taking measurements. then she turned the speaker on and could hear the baby's heartbeat loud and clear. i asked her what the h.b was per min and it was 140. i knew as soon as she said that it was a boy.
it was the cutest thing though, the little guy was kicking like crazy (though i suprisingly couldn't feel any of it) and he was sucking his thumb!!! it was so cute. luckily the technician was able to get a snapshot of him sucking his thumb. i'll try to post the pics when i get back from toronto.
wow...it's becoming more real. i actually have a little human growing inside me. crazy!
