I must confess that I have long been dismissive of fanfic in general, and of the project of SSWA in particular. "Quixotic" was how I described out loud. And then, I realized that here I had a chance to 'fix' what had bothered me about Cain's abortive story-arc on the real show. So, here I am, all armored up and attacking heavy industry.

I am especially pleased that you like my take on her. I hope that you will continue to enjoy the rest of the story as it appears.

Now that I have posted part 2, you will find that this icon was a bit prophetic.

Admiral Cain *is* totally kickass in the SSWA universe, if I do say so myself (having written some of her plots so far in my own stories). You have added some more very awe-inspiring lore to her presence in this alternate BSG universe. Very well done.

Also, it's extremely fun to see her scare the pants off Baltar ;)

Seriously though, I thought the scenes with Six were extremely well done. I could *hear* her voice as I was reading, and when you wrote that last line where she urges Baltar to say yes to Cain, I could even see her pleased, self-satisfied grin as she says, "I know just the person."

Thank you. Your editorial comments helped refine that scene considerably, so some of the praise you have just offered should be reclaimed for your own use.
