Mom called yesterday.
grandpa fell and went to the hospital...
they think he broke his hip.

Mom called yesterday. (two hours later)
doctors found a blood clot from the fall.
broke loose and got lodged in his lung...
broke into a million little pieces and filled his lungs and heart.
difficult to talk to mom and dad while they are crying (they never do)

Went to work to forget about things.
Mom called yesterday.
grandpa is still alive but has a 5% chance of surviving
kidneys failing/lungs filled with bad stuff/heart failing
time for me to go home.

leaving tonight.
