School

Ok, I was just writing in someone's Live Journal and it just occured to me how much school costs and what you leave with. Alright, under certain circumstances school is necessary. Law School, Med School, however you obtain a captain's liscence to fly jets. I wouldn't feel safe unless the person on the other side was good, ney, they best. But I am in film school. Filmmaking almost involves no schooling. People teach themselves how to make a film all the time. All you need is money to buy a computer, camera and editing software and you've got everything you need to make a featre length film, on DV. So, pretty much, in four years I, like many others are going to spend thousands, if not hundreds of thousands on schooling for a piece of paper. Think about it. What do you do, or want to do, for a living? How much will that piece of paper matter in the end? Probably nothing, right? Oh well, we're a strange society, what can I say? This is my little rant on college tuition. I could be much more detailed and much more into it, but I just don't care enough.
