Around Town, Saturday Morning

Clint was a little confused when he woke up, but then he remembered this place with the huge, warm bed and the crazy amount of food in the fridge. He also remembered the cute dog that had been here, and now there were two dogs, and if Barney was here this would be the closest to heaven Clint was pretty sure he'd ever get

Kitty woke up in a new place today, and was already kind of bored with it. She'd had to drag a chair around to climb up and get anything for breakfast, and there was cereal on the floor now and she was hoping someone else would take care of it while she was outside.

"There's a new puppy!" she said excitedly, running over because puppies.

Clint smiled at Kitty - he was pretty sure that was her name, after their sleepover last time he was here - and nodded. "This is Rook," he said carefully. "She's a girl." Because that was important to note.

"She's very pretty," Kitty said. "Can I say hi?"

Clint nodded, since that was the easiest response with friendly people, and let go of Rook's leash so she could go to Kitty.

Hello, Rook, you were going to get all the pets! "You're so lucky," Kitty said. "There's no dogs where I woke up."

And her dragon was in Westchester, sigh. Not that she knew she had a dragon.

Clint didn't manage to catch everything she said, but he certainly knew how to respond to the first part. "No, that's Lucky, I'm Clint," he said, giggling. He was hilarious, thank you very much.

Kitty rolled her eyes and groaned exaggeratedly. "That was so bad."

She thought it was funny, shhhh.

"The puppies think I'm good," Clint said with a nod.

[SIGH.]

"That's 'cause you're good!" Kitty said. "D'you need help walking them? I'm good at walking, I do it every day."

Clint squirmed a little, because he really wasn't good at all, and he got so flustered that he almost missed watching her talk. "You can walk too if you want?"

"Yay!" Kitty said, and covered with an, "I mean, okay, if you're cool with it."

She didn't want to look too excited about getting to walk with puppies.

"Yeah, I'm good with it," Clint said, handing her Rook's leash. "Here, girls go with girls."

"What if they were both boys?" Kitty wondered, but took the leash.

Clint thought about that for a minute. "You'd get Rook because she's smaller," he decided.

"But what if I'm really strong?"

She was not.

"If you're what?" Clint asked, partly because he wasn't 100% sure about what she said and partly because no, no she was not strong.
