This Is a Much Better Surprise Than the Daley Party [closed]

Harry had actually left for work in the morning, wanting the ruse to be as perfect as possible. He slid out of bed before the sun rose, kissed Skylar goodbye and then waited, patiently, at the corner breakfast cafe, nursing a black cup of coffee while Skylar got herself ready and left for work. Then, after putting down a few coins, he went back into the house and had Kreacher rapt at attention. He had called the house elf back specifically to get the house in order for the six past seven start date. (It was the time Kreacher had recorded as Skylar coming home every day.

Streamers were placed precariously throughout the hallways and rooms, all in different colors while balloons were tied to the lighting fixtures, bubbling up at the ceiling.

The cooking started in the mid-afternoon, giving both Harry and Kreacher enough time to get everything together perfectly and giving Harry the time to run to the travel agent in London proper to discuss the final plans for Skylar's gift.

While Jemma and Reid caught up in the dining room, where the banquet table was laid out perfectly with fancier plates and gold-rimmed glasses and a deliciously huge birthday cake, Harry finalized the banner that hung in the foyer that said, "Happy Birthday, Fawcett" in bright blue paint.

It was nearly five past seven now.
