Owl: Hermione Granger

Two months.

From two weeks to two months and all thanks to closing the Burning Man case.

He understood, he did. But he didn't like it. What the bloody hell was he going to do with himself for two months? He sighed, crawling onto his bed with a piece of parchment and a quill.

Letter to Hermione Granger )

[Written on very impressive Wizengamot letterhead]

Dear Mister Potter,

Due to the current circumstance of suspension from your Auror position, Kingsley Shacklebolt has requested sensitivity training to be started immediately.

Please find sensitivity training form attached. This will include the name of your assigned therapist, location, and their requested form for you to complete and deliver on the day of your first appointment.

Hermione Granger
Junior Member of the Wizengamot

Just as Hermione sent away her notice to Harry, she received a short note from him. Her eyebrows raised, she wasn't sure what to do, what with Pig bopping into things around her desk. She quickly turned the note over and wrote on the back.

Sorry.
-Hermione

She pondered about what to do with Pig after she attached the note to him. Hermione shrugged, and placed Pig in the out pile, and with a light 'poof' he was gone to the mail room.

Harry had been half asleep, his glasses askew as he heard a tapping on his window. Two letters came at once, one of them his own parchment to Hermione. Only Pig came through the window, flittering around like the twittering animal it was.

Between both, he felt oddly confused.

Sensitivity training?

He grabbed his quill, writing on the back of the official Wizengamot notice.

Don't you think that's a joke in poor taste?

Hermione scowled.

Harry,
Why on earth would I joke about that?

Best,
Hermione

Well. That certainly wasn't the answer he was looking for. He looked back down at the notice, taking in the words. Sensitivity training. Fuck.

H-

Well, fuck. Guess no one else but me thought the bloke had it coming.

This only deepened her scowl. She wanted to explain to him, what with muggle/wizard relations soon to be thinned, once the public found out about the Burning Man, that a role model, such as he, should NOT be setting that type of example.

However, perhaps that's exactly what Megan would explain.

Harry,
That's really besides the point. Maybe this will be good for you.

I don't see how laying on a couch and talking about my feelings is going to do me any good, actually no.

-HP

He sent it off with a pout. Therapy. Fucking therapy. He knew Skylar was probably going to have a million things to say about this. And Ron. Everyone, really.

As expected, Harry Potter was resisting. Wonderful.

Harry,
That sounds more like a psychologist, or psychiatrist.

Therapists tend to be... more hands on. From what I can tell, wizard and witch therapists are even more unconventional than their muggle counterparts.

Please keep an open mind.

-Hermione

Hermione and Ella had scanned through the files of the Ministry recommended therapists... their techniques were, well, honestly- Harry might enjoy a session with a psychologist more.

Harry scratched at his head.

What in the bloody hell does that mean? What have I gotten myself into?

Harry,

I wish I could tell you more, but I haven't landed myself with Ministry sanctioned therapy as of late.

I suppose just be prepared to hear that you may have done something wrong on the job, hm?

Harry,

Besides all that, how are you doing? I've been reading the reports.

-Hermione

While Hermione knew quite a few of the more intimate details of the case, what with them being all over her desk, she still felt it right to ask.

Bored. Only been off the job for a few days and already frighteningly bored.

Harry,

I'm glad you can be bored after everything that's happened.

I'm just waiting for the angry mob at my door screaming something to the effect of 'Death to all mudbloods'. I dare say public opinion will be at an all time low.

Bloody hell, Hermione. You think I haven't thought about that? I'm not even allowed in the damn Ministry building. Otherwise I'd be trying to do something.

Harry,

I'm sorry, I'm not blaming you, of course. I'm just worried.

How's Skylar recovery going?

I am too.

She's alright. She's in a sling for a few days. She's a trooper, really. I still can't believe I let her come.
