He had owled her that next morning, a scribbled note telling her to meet him outside of the entrance to Diagon Alley at six o'clock sharp Tuesday night. He had only hoped that the day wouldn't be crazy enough to intrude on their plans. With the holidays approaching and the Burning Man case still in full swing, the office was in chaos. But, luck had

"If we weren't in public right now-"

When they reached the bottom, it was clear that they had drawn a crowd. A few school girls giggled before looking away while some old couples didn't bother to shield gaze. Skylar should have blushed but she only grinned sheepishly over at Harry, trying not to laugh.

He might have even winked at Harry's direction but he wasn't paying attention to anyone but Skylar at that moment.
"What do you say we get out of here, then?" he asked her as he helped her from the car.

"I think first we have a bet to settled," she reminded him, one eye brow pitched and a devious smile on her lips.

"Right- yes- I suppose that's going to have to happen, eh?" he asked, chuckling sheepishly.

They made their way back into the crowd and away from prying eyes. Though, Skylar didn't mind them at all. The more witnesses there were the better her credibility grew when she wrote about it.

Yes, yes. Well, he wanted to. As confident as Harry was in his body, it wasn't as if he wanted all of wizarding England to see his arse. He pressed his lips together, trying to find the perfect alley in which to hide so he could properly undress.
"I'm just.. formulating a plan in my head."

"Well, first we should probably get away from all these children," she suggested, looking around them. "I'll settle for a deserted part of the street."
She craned her neck, looking for somewhere more isolated for them to go. Then she added just for fun, "We wouldn't want this popping up in that gossip column, after all."

"That would not be good-" he said, rubbing at the back of his neck roughly. "Well, I mean, it wouldn't be great."
He laughed, shaking his head. That bloody column had said an awful lot about him in the past few years. He'd never figure out how it all came out so easily- how hard it was to keep a bloody secret from whoever it was behind the writing. He looked back at Skylar, finally finding a proper spot.
"Alright- here's the deal," he said, his voice suddenly serious. "I'm going to take off my clothes- and you're going to take them, alright? Then, I'm going to tear through the street like a bloody idiot and once I'm through, we're both Apparating back to my flat, alright? I don't need to be arrested without any pants on-"
He nearly shuddered at the thought.

They made their way into the alley, which was quiet enough. And Skylar got herself ready to hold onto his clothes until he was back.
"I'll be right here when you get back. The alley even opens up at the other end so you can just swing around the block."

She'd seen him this way before, no doubt about it. Many ways, many places.
But no one was less attractive in freezing weather.
Finally, his briefs were off and placed gingerly on top of the pile.
And off he jogged.

Draco started peeling with laughter, shouting:

As soon as he turned the corner Skylar was laughing. She could hear the whistling and hollering from her spot in the alley. Really, she hadn't expected there to be so many people this far off from the carnival but only a very small part of her felt bad.
Within minutes she heard him jogging back down the other side of the alley, cheeks flushed.

When Skylar came back into vision, he slowed down, his cheeks ruddy from the cold and his glasses fogged just slightly from his breath.
"That work for you, Fawcett?" he asked, coming to a stop, breathing slowly. "Or would you fancy another lap?"
Reply
"No, no, you've held up your end of it," she promised, coming up to him, his clothes still cradled in her arms.
Then she noticed his breath, coming out in thick clouds. He must have been freezing. Her expression quickly changed to concern.
"Merlin, let's go before you turn into Harry Popsicle."
