Today is my 4th lj birthday. Haha Although technically speaking, I created this account on July 27, 2005, but I was only actually able to make/post a decent entry on July 30, so I’m also writing an entry today. What's the 145, you ask? Well, this is my 145th journal entry, although I know I have posted more in reality because sometime ago, I read through my entries and deleted some. (now I'm kinda regretting I did that, but then again, maybe those entries are embarrassing and super shallow) And after 4 years, I think ako pa rin ‘to! It’s the same old boring stuff, right? The only difference is that I rant/rave about school before and now, it’s the office setting. But anyway, work and school aren’t really two different worlds because they can actually overlap and meet! Aha, and today just proves it. DS peeps, do you remember Melvin? Well, we’re not really close so after grad shempre wala nakong balita sa kanya, but he’s still an acquaintance. Tapos kanina, my boss sent a reply email to our client in response to their signed conforme sheet which suggests the start of the engagement. I checked my yahoo email at nagulat ako kasi that same client addressee added me as a facebook contact! So ako naman parang, huh? Kaloka! At ang bilis pa ha, parang a few minutes after lang i-send ni sir ang email, he added me naman. So, I tried to remember kung may kakilala ba akong Melvin…at napatext ako kay Jamie kung anong surname ng Melvin ds member natin at apparently, siya nga yun! Grabe, si Melvin ay client namin! Well, the company that he’s working with ang client namin. Such a small world talaga.
Sorry, the next blabs/musings are just random and may be quite long. (tamad nako mag-lj cut kasi 1. I kinda forgot how to do it and 2. Tamad na lang talaga ako, period.)
Work, work, work, work. Hay nako, lately work’s been really stressful and hectic. There are a lot of things to be done and researched under time pressure. Mashado kasing demanding at critical ang client kaya todo effort lahat to the point na working lunch pa! So, as usual, lj’s part of my de-stressing regimen. J (another would be arashi. Haha) And tomorrow is the start of another engagement, ayun nga yung with Melvin at ditto, ako na talaga ang kasama, hindi lang support group. Oh well, goodluck!
On a different note about work, I’ve had new found friends from the other division! Shempre that’s the good point in belonging to such a big family (a total of 60+ people). At least you get to meet a lot of new people, yun nga lang, mejo mahirap minsan kasi sila magkakakilala na and they’ve been together since I don’t know. Kami naman shempre ang minority, but at least we’re getting there. We’re not even used to referring to ourselves as one. Usually may distinction pa rin between TAS and BRS, pero in reality, we’re one na dapat. But, they’re welcoming people and they invited us to their lunch treat! Masaya na nakakahiya shempre, pero okay naman. Hopefully, it’ll improve overtime and we’ll be able to call ourselves as one division na rin. Physically siguro we’re together in one staff area, pero work-wise, we’re still two “separate” and different groups.
Btw Ailen, welcome (back) to Makati at competitors pa tayo! Hahaha So looking forward to our lunch date. Woohoo!
Let’s talk about other stuff naman, HP6. I’m assuming you’ve all seen it? Because, I’ll be posting spoilers. So, honestly speaking, this is one of the few HP movies that I enjoyed. Maybe because I can’t remember much of the details from the book and the cinematography was great! I wasn’t expecting it to come out that way because I didn’t like the previous one at all and David Yates also directed that one. But this turned out to be better (for me, anyway). But of course, it also has its bad points like the battle at Hogwarts towards the end of the movie before Dumbledore’s death. His death was a bit anti-climactic for me because the Death Eaters just entered Hogwarts through the cabinet to what, watch Draco kill Dumbledore? And the half-blood prince declaration was just a line said by Snape! Okay fine, I get it that he’s the half-blood prince, but what was its significance to Harry’s life aside from the potions thing, right? Not to mention, that it’s part of the title of this installment! On the other hand, I liked the way they presented the hiding place of the “RAB locket”. I liked the way Michael Gambon showed Dumbledore’s struggle and resistance in drinking the water. Ah, but the loveteams are a bit forced to me. Harry-Ginny and Ron-Hermione doesn’t have on screen chemistry at all that whenever they tried to establish their “budding romances”, I can’t help but cringe. Sobrang pilit kasi e. I know it’s really Ron and Hermione that would end up together, but it doesn’t help that Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have that chemistry plus they’re portrayed as super close friends to the point that Harry comforts Hermione in times of heartbreak. But I must say, I liked Rupert Grint in this movie and Tom Felton too! Although he looked a bit older than Harry, Ron and Hermione (which is really the case),he was still able to portray the torn and confused Draco Malfoy.
Since this is an lj bee-day celeb post, I think I'll post something different today. Maybe I'll write some fangirling or maybe not, kasi inaantok nako. haha
