Miss me, anyone?
Okay, so my lj hibernation days are over. I'd be lying if i'll say that nothing has happened over uhm, 2 months. Where do i start? What do I have to tell you guys? Overwhelming, grabe.. This may or maybe not a long entry, depending on how far I can remember or how much my time can allow me. Anyhow, here it goes...
Tired. I'm dead tired. I lack sleep and rest for almost three (3) weeks now, (and sadly, still counting)! :'( This is all because of our uber demanding client who wants the job done in barely what, 2 weeks! shet! Yeah, I know, i can and have proved that I can work well under pressure but school work and requirements are i think, quite different.
It all started when my high school barkada, who lives in Australia, visited. At least, nakapagsaya pako at nakapagbonding sa kanila before the hell client and hell work started. I actually lived and became an "Alabang girl" (ano ba yun, parang title ng movie!?!) for almost two weeks! The client rented a condotel for us just to make sure that we will be able to deliver on time. Ang layo ng Alabang at nakakapagod ang biyahe!! Ailen, pano mo natatagalan ang pagttravel from your house to school everyday? :O Amazing. Kami kasi after ng biyahe, wala na, hindi na kaya magtrabaho pa. At I must say, pang-mayaman talaga ang place na yun dahil bihira may dumadaan na public transportation at grabe tumaga ng rates ang mga taxi!! Usually contrata, Php550, including toll fees, from there until Makati lang! Ang mahal ha, buti na lang kasama na sa accomodations ang shuttle service. ATC and Festival Mall became my uhm, let's say, 2nd home in my stay there. Nakakahilo nga lang ang layout ng ATC, naligaw kami ng officemate ko! hehe Pero in fairness, busog kami dun. Treat ng client ang lunch everyday plus breakfast buffet that comes with the accomodations and dinner charged to client. hehe Pero in the end, you'll realize that that CANNOT compensate for the work and overtime that you render. Iba pa rin ang complete ang rest.
Tama na nga ang about work, nakakapagod din pag-usapan. Harry Potter book 7, meron na! Weee!! pero nadisappoint ako sa epilogue. It seemed as if hindi si JK Rowling ang nagsulat. Hindi ako natuwa. Although hindi ko pa nababasa nang buo ang book, nadismaya ako sa chapter na yun! hmph! Ewan ko ba, parang fan-fic ang dating. Parang iba kasi ang writing style niya in the entire series. Kahit alam ko na ang mga spoilers, I wouldn't dare say it here, baka awayin niyo pako! hehe As for the book 5 movie, ugh, disappointing! Naexcite pa man din ako ng sobra. Fine, nabasa ang sinabi ni Bj, adaptation, but adaptation or not, it's not a good movie for me still. Mejo magulo ang pagkakaedit, kinda choppy. At least man lang sana naayos siya in such a way na maiintindihan din ng hindi nagbabasa. Siguro I just don't like the interpretation of David Yates. Sorry to his fans or the movie, that's just my opinion. In short, hindi ako natuwa. Mas maganda pa ang Transformers! :D
Another thing keeping me busy? The stock market. Yup, I actually have stocks. hehe Naimpluwensiyahan kasi kami ng aming big boss dito kaya eto, hanggang ngayon, adik pa rin kami dun! It's surprisingly addictive! Siguro kasi natutuwa ka mashado to see your money gain bigger than bank interest. At shempre kasi bull market ngayon. Bad trip lang kasi nagkaron ng world crash last friday, shempre damay tayo dun kaya ayun, most of the stocks are down, but the good thing is, this is actually the right time to buy kasi mababa ang prices.
In other news, congrats to you friends, na may bago ng work and will soon start! yipee, welcome to the labor force! Ikaw Jamie, shall we welcome you din? I hope so...
Ritafita, nope, I'm not going to be a CPA soon ayoko na muna mag-aral ulit at the moment kasi what we had was very minimal accounting. Siguro CFA (certified financial analyst) na lang. Some of our managers here are not CPAs anyway, so I think, I'll survive. I just have to gain more experience and practice with what I do. At shempre, matutunan ang mga accounting policies. Basta, VAT and tax expenses always make our lives hell! Ang hirap ng treatment sa kanila sa mga financials! :O nakakalokang sobra...But, fortunately, I'm surviving! :D
