Korea jaunt part II.

Back to writing on my Korea jaunt part II!

Recalled that I had a good night sleep on the first night - the tatami style hotel.
So here’s a picture of us on the brand new but freezing day 2!

After a heart breakfast, we embark on a Korean culture experience at a Traditional Korean Village! I really like that place. Babe and I were chosen to be the bride and groom and experience the traditional Korean wedding ceremony. The whole ceremony takes about 40 minutes, with all the kneeling and bowing. I swear it’s a tedious one though!

Let me elaborate - ‘I really like that place’, in fact I like this place the most! Saddes is I don’t know what this place is named, anyways Traditional Korean Village is a little bit far from the city, and apparently all of us fell asleep during the journey. This place is huge and beautiful with light fresh breeze of air! Had our lunch there as well, self-making of the traditional Korean Rice Cake (DukBokGi), BiBimBap and taste the traditional rice wine. Ahem, taste of rice wine is duper weird though.

Folks over there are friendly, and over-whelming. Not to forget, on the grounds, there are a lot of traditional games you can play such as 'neolttwigi' (sea-saw jumping), 'tuho'(arrow throwing), 'yunnori' (traditional game of throwing wooden yut sticks), and many more~

Uncle and Auntie Swee seem like going back to childhood, playing together with much laughter. *Nice!
Spent the whole afternoon there, absolutely a place I would want to go again! =)

Somehow remembering that we stopover at this place for scenery viewing and photo taking. We spotted the roadside stall and believe that it is definitely a good time to get something hot to munch on - SILKWORMS! Definitely not. The lady kept asking us to try but we .. dare not eat! Bought a pack of snails instead! Out of no where, shortly after that, we bought ice cream to eat! I swear, it was friggin cold after we finished our ice cream!

Hot piping steamboat with countless grams of pepper that I put and we called it for the day went back to hotel! Of cause, hot spring bath that I will never miss. AND I had a good night sleep after the hot spring bath in the hotel!

Rested early to prepare for the long day at Everland the next day!

Day 3:
It was a cold sun-drenched day and we were all pumped up and excited! We visited one of the world’s biggest theme park and 4th most-visited theme park, Everland. This is an integrated theme park located in Yongin which comprises of the Jungle Safari Zoo along with all the thrills and exciting rides in the Theme Park. It is an outdoor theme park constantly hosting flower festivals and features an open safari.

But what I was really looking forward to was the T-Express - the roller coaster ride! Check out the facts!

- South Korea's first wooden roller coaster
 - World's steepest wooden roller coaster (77 degrees)

See the pictures of how the roller coaster looks from a distance!

Shannon and I did it! It was a great ride and I cried! Tears flew down automatically and dry up within seconds and I swear it was really scary. Lasted all of 2 min nish. Love it still haa. Babe nearly fainted when he look up with the sun so glaring shinning down from the top, he didn’t make it for the ride though.

I was kinda fascinated by owls though. Ain’t they cute? LOL
Weather in the day was warm! Just happen to buy ice cream to cool down, the weather turn tremendously coldd. *Cross finger. For that moment, ice cream is the first thing that I want to throw it away.

Alas, 4 hours is definitely not enough for Everland! YAY!
Day 4:
Basically, this is our second last day in seoul. So, it was the day for us to superstore our cosmetic products, seaweed and souvenirs back to Singapore! Visiting Kimchi School is part of the itinerary as well before going to Shinsegae area to shop. Learned to make kimchi and wore their costume! *Fun! Early afternoon is our free and easy time at Shinsegae area, tour guide named ‘Ming Dong’.

Walked the place for hours, my leg was stinging and aching! Finally sat down at a café and rest while waiting for the bus to pick us up. Another long and simple day!

My loots from only faceshop and laneige.

Can’t bear to sleep the time away in Korea, stayed up watching tv while babe snoring like nobody business on the last night. LOL!

Mike is our tour guide being a stand-up comedian, he definitely spiced up the whole atmosphere throughout the whole trip, kudos to him! :)

All these while, Korea is somewhere that I least wanting to go, but indeed, I’m pretty awed with this country and in fact I am feeling a tad nostalgic about the days in Korea! Although just 6 days, but absolutely an awesome one!

YAY to Korea!
I guess I shall end my Korea jaunt with this super long entry.

Long awaited dive trip is here! Will be going for diving tomorrow again!
