Between Reality and Lies : Chapter 7
CHAPTER 7
Jin and Kame found themselves sitting in one of the benches at the park while drinking a soda after their dinner.
Though Kazuya was really pissed off earlier with what Jin said, he found himself enjoying the company of the older man.
He didn’t know Jin can be that talkative and loves to laugh, coz when they first met this same person barely look or talk to him, which makes him wonder.
“Akanishi san?” he looked at the man sitting beside him. “Yes?” came a quick reply.
He seizes the opportunity to ask what’s been bothering him for quite some time “I just want to ask, you don’t like me, do you?”
Jin almost chokes his drink when he heard this. He stared at Kamenashi and stutter “wh… wh…what?” The person who questioned him just gave him a quick look then turns his gaze ahead.
“I mean, you don’t like me as a person… I can feel it…But correct me if I’m wrong”
Upon hearing this, Jin can only watch the person sitting beside him. He didn’t know what to say, coz maybe what Kame said was true.
Finally Kazuya stare at him straight in the eye for the first time since they met. “I’m not a dimwit you know…And most of all I’m not insensitive… But don’t worry I won’t take it against you” then he smile and look away again.
This held Akanishi speechless for a moment, but he eventually recovered and tugged the arm of the person beside him as if saying ‘hey look this way.’
When Kamenashi gave him a momentary look, this comes out of his mouth “I’m sorry if I made you feel that way… I must admit at first I thought you’re just like those other idols that are snobbish … I guess I was wrong.”
This set out a genuine smile on Kazuya’s face “yes you’re definitely wrong Akanishi san”
With this statement Jin looks intently at Kazuya for very long time before saying “Friends?” which the other one gladly accepted.
Suddenly, Kazuya’s phone ring and when he answers it, all Jin can do was to listen to the conversation.
“Moshi Moshi… Tat-chan?”
“Kazu-chan. Where are you?”
“I’m here at the park”
“What are you doing there?”
“I’m here with Akanishi san”
“Akanishi san? The anti-social fellow?”
“Yes Akanishi san… He’s my friend now”
“Friend eh… I see...”
“Are you coming home tonight?”
“I’m on my way home now. Do you want me to pick you up?”
“No need for that, I can manage. Thank you.”
“Okay take care on your way home”
“I will. Take care also”
“Thanks. Bye!” after that the line went dead
“I can see you’re very close with Tatsuya san” Jin said as Kazuya pocket his phone “yes he’s a very special person to me” Kazuya beam at him.
The older guy just simply acknowledge him with a simple “I see” then get up and held out his hand to the person still sitting on the bench “Come on, it’s getting late. Ueda san might be worried about you”
Kazuya momentarily look at the hands Jin held out trying to figure out whether to take or just ignore it but after a while he decided to take hold of it. And they start to walk towards the bus stop.
“Ummm… Kazu? Can I call you Kazu from now on?” Jin asked the man walking beside him and that said person just nods his head in reply.
“Jin?” caught off guard coz this is the first time he heard Kazuya addressed him by his first name “Can I call you Jin from now on?”
“Of course… We’re friends now right?” He answered.
And for the second time that day Kamenashi display a genuine smile as they continue to walk without letting go of each others hands.
