leaving on a jet plane

so i think a lot
about the future
and about the past

and i just really want to pack my things and go
to move all around the world
to meet new people
to be my own person
to read interesting books
and walk down new streets
to stand in airports and look up at the arrival and departure board and wonder where i'll be standing tomorrow
to not be afraid to be myself even when others don’t like me
to wear whatever i feel like 
and to say whatever crosses my mind

wouldnt it be lovely

i just dont like college
i really dont
and i dont think it's going to matter where i am
it's the classroom that im tired of
it's the papers and the desks
the students and the experience
the tests and the studying
it's not that i dont want to try
because i tried so hard in high school
and it didnt take me where i wanted to go

i just need some time
maybe im not meant to travel a traditional path

i'd very much like to quit school to become a stewardess and work on my online bachelors degree
