C'est la vie

I think the plant is growing. Either that, or a piece of it has been cut off and there's another one growing somewhere on the hotel property. The cases of rash due to exposure have almost doubled since the first signs of it appeared. I am thankful that I haven't gotten the rash. As much as I appreciate botanical life, I believe this thing needs to ( Read more... )

If you're exhausted, perhaps I should relieve you early.

That will be unnecessary, Oshitari-kun. It comes with the territory of getting used to a new environment. I assure you that I am fine.

If you are sure, Yagyuu-kun. Let me know if you need some rest.

Getting used to things may take some time, it takes two weeks before something can be ingrained as a habit.

I am quite sure. If it is needed, I'll let you know.

Aa. It has almost been two weeks. Time has certainly seemed to fly by. Have you been adjusting well?

Just know that there is no shame in it.

Well enough. Most of our patience are agreeable enough, despite whatever their affliction might be. And as for the off hours, the bed and couch are very comfortable.

I know.

I've noticed, though I think some of their agreeableness has to do with us... Quite right you are, especially the couch. It makes for an excellent reading spot.

Oh? Do explain.

What do you like to read?

(ooc: lol *patients ...spelling fail)

Surely you've been hit on by some of our patients...

Mystery novels mainly. The occasional medical book. Sometimes if the urge strikes, I get out Shakespeare. Need something new to read?

(ooc: It's cool, homophones tick me off too. Heh.)

Several, but then the profuse throwing up because they are far too drunk to so much as see straight lessens the appeal.

It all sounds so very educational. No thank you, I have plenty.

I haven't had many of the overly intoxicated. I don't know if I should consider that lucky or not.

Niou-kun used to say the same thing of my reading habits... Are you the type to read those ridiculous romance novels where half the time the woman is a malleable virgin taken by the debonair bachelor within the first few chapters?

The many merits of the night shift.

They aren't all so typical.

If you say so.

...I meant no offense if that is your reading preference. The vast majority seem to be that way. The only real differences are the nationality of the male lead.

Not the ones I write. Have you read some then?

Unfortunately, yes. As part of one of my general seminars while I was in undergraduate studies. There was only one that was remotely interesting, though it has been quite a long time and I don't remember the author.

When you desire a break from your educational material, let me know and I'll be happy to recommend something a little more recreational. I've fairly well versed in the genre.

I'll be done with it shortly. The last exam is in a few weeks, then those will only be used for reference.

What do you have in mind?
