My cousin had her baby boy yesterday morning after being in labor for over fourteen hours. His name is Cameron Patrick Doherty (can it have a more Irish name?) and he is absolutely beautiful. I held him and he fell asleep and it was so incredible! He is so soft and warm and tiny! I can't believe he's going to be a real person someday.
I'm leaving in ten hours for the Dominican Republic. I'm really excited to help these people because they really need it. We all complain about our lives but these people really have nothing and are so grateful just to recieve a tiny bit of help. I'm so excited and its beautiful down there but like Dierdre and I discussed, Irish/Scottish people do not belong in that weather. We belong in the rain and snow and crappy weather, not in the sun and melanoma causing weather so I hope my 60 sunblock will protect me.
