(no subject)
So. Not a great start, I moved in last night and promptly had a mighty headache and then threw up. It's a pattern now - headache for 3 hours, plus extreme weakness, hiccoughs, then finally vomit. I hate it. This is the 4th time this year, after at least 2 years of none. I don't know why. It's the second time in a month, almost. Not happy.
BUT the new place is great, I didn't sleep brilliantly, but that's to be expected. The mattress is not very comfy, after 6 days of sleeping on a fab air mattress. If it gets bad I can always buy one and put it on top.
The room was v hot last night even though it was cold out, so I might shut the windows and keep the blinds down all day, a la the mediterranean method, and see if that works.
Today I may be getting a loan of some equipment, which would make my life a LOT easier. I went round yesterday to the students I made friends with, and now have notation software. Hurrah! I needed it asap as we have a composition project which will be recorded (recorded!!) on Monday by real players. Yipes. In Bristol we were expected to write it out by hand, really. So much for all the redundant manuscript paper I brought with me. The companies who make it will go bust soon, presumably.
It's a bit cloudy today, so I'm hoping that will change. I can feel it heating up though. I'm sure the insulation in this house is pants.
