the forest can wait

and probably get eaten by termites or clear-cut logged or burned down....
But I'm going to stop researching on Lexis and update my blog.

I'm congratulating myself on how productive I am this evening...which is really only by comparison to last night, in which little was accomplished.

Today, I managed to:

* Shatter a pyrex bowl with the taboule salad I was going to take for lunch. I didn't have time to pick up all the glass shards and spicules before I had to leave for class, so I just swept them into a pile (mixed into the taboule salad) in the middle of my kitchen floor to be dealt with upon my return. I did eventually clean them up, but told M. to wear shoes in the kitchen until one of us can vacuum.

* Learn the decaying vegetables of the Brassica family smell worse, than say...decaying potato or banana peels. Somehow, I don't think my worm friends mind too much, being accustomed to eating rotting vegetation in general.

* come up with a figure for U.S. income tax owed by using the tax code alone. While surprisingly fun, it kept me entraced for 2 hours straight. Tomorrow, we're going to do the same procedure, but with Form 1040. Somehow, I think that will be much simpler.

* Spend a couple of hours on Lexis researching the how scientific uncertainty is factored in case law regarding agency decisions.

I want to go home and drink green tea.

nebbish, tax
