Barnyard Ballyhoo
Last night, M. and I went to his co-worker's wedding reception up in Weston, MO. The reception was held at a place called
The Red Barn Farm, which aside from having a dance floor/reception facility inside an old tobacco barn, outside also had a collection of farm animals (such as chickens, ducks, geese, goats, a donkey and some turkeys) which delighted us no end.
They served BBQ, naturally. And had wedding cupcakes instead of one those ginormous plaster cake confections. We thought it was great.
New Sheriff in Town
My youngest brother llama has been given an ultimatum by the leaders of the herd: Either find some activities that involve physical fitness and socialization with other humans, or we take away your X-B0X time. (Cited concerns have been a)
video game addiction, b)
Hikikomori, c)inadequate vitamin D production )
Some suggested options have been joining the school soccer team or doing youth group activities with BBYO. (Neither of these are particularly appealing.) Do you llama blog readers have any suggestions for getting a 16 year old boy out of the house?
