Evidently certain
Israelis have utilized their own version of the
Cruciatus Curse, called pulsa denura ("lashes of fire" in Aramaic) to incapacitate PM Ariel Sharon.
"I take full responsibility for what happened," far-right activist Baruch Ben-Yosef, one of the participants at the July pulsa denura, told The Jerusalem Post. "Our pulsa denura kicked in. Nothing could kill Sharon and he said his ancestors lived until they over 100 years old but we got him with the pulsa denura."
The closest thing to any of the Unforgivable Curses practiced by any of my family members is Grandma Fanny's threat to put a
Lee Atwater on horribly unpleasant people. (Atwater, a "hatchet man" strategist for the Republican party, died of an inoperable brain tumor after a career of destroying other politicians with rumor and innuendo).
Since using one of the Unforgivable Curses is grave enough to get you into Azkaban, would the Bush Administration classify anyone bent on cursing American leaders as "enemy combatants" and send them to Gitmo?
