Received this email from my Mom just a little while ago.

Lance found Robert today, but it was too late. He passed away last week. He had been at Earl K. Long (Charity) Hospital in BR and at Capitol House Nursing Home in BR. His caretakers said that the stress of being transferred from nursing home to nursing home and hospital to hospital, as well as not being able to contact Lance, was too stressful and triggered several attacks.

I find it unbelievable and outrageous that his name had not been entered into the LA Hospital database nor in the LA Nursing Home database. We could've located him weeks ago, and this may have been avoidable.

I am so fucking angry right now. Someone, somewhere, didn't even care enough to enter his name into a database. I was right here the entire time that he was right here. I could have gone to him, I could have contacted Lance and led him to his dad. I could have comforted Uncle Robert and helped somehow. But I guess someone didn't get off their damn ass to type a few lousy words into a computer that could have saved his life and saved us this heartache. The LA Nursing Home Association has a compiled list of all those that were in nursing homes previously and where they are now. I wonder if there are others in this hospital or nursing home that have family members actively searching for them as well.
