Liquid Foundation Tip

Here is a slightly strange makeup application tip brought back from the pro-tips class (not my class, but still interesting). Nicki practiced on me.  I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised.

[1.]  Create a mixture of 75% foundation (best with a full coverage foundation) and 25% booster moisturizer.
Booster moisturizers are treatment based.  You wear these over your daily moisturizer or as your daily moisturizer.
The bare bones booster moisturizers give instant hydration for tight or flaky skin.
Others have anti-wrinkle, anti-sagging, SPF, or some combination of all of the above.

[2.] Apply to face with a powder brush
Not a foundation brush, not a powder foundation brush. Just your Plain-Jane powder brush.

[3.] Use the dot-dot-dot-blend technique.
Forehead, nose, chin.  Blend outward.

[4.] Clean powder brush and use it to set with loose powder.
I lazied out and didn't clean the brush.  It worked okay--just make sure excess foundation is used up so the brush isn't wet.

Results:  Natural.  Dewy.  Smooth.

makeup, work
