Since Mike and I have been uber busy, we decided to celebrate his birthday this weekend, which also was perfect since I haven't seen him in two weeks. He came to town on Friday night and I made this hellavagood dinner which consisted of Breaded Chicken and Shrimp, Roasted vegetables on a bed of long grain Rice, and grilled Portobello mushroom salad. Oh my god, it was good if i say so myself. we had some "I-miss-you-sex" which was more than satisfying.....then we headed out to yorkdale to see a movie, the only thing that seemed appealing besides batman begins (but it stopped playing early in the day!! poop!) was "the island" which is decent and entertaining if you like to see things constantly being blown apart, except for the somewhat rushed ending and some corny lines. ("MY NAME IS LINCON!") Otherwise, I liked it.
The next day we headed out at around 11:30am to Bay St. and Queen's Quay to catch a ferry to Ward's Beach one of the three beaches on the Toronto Islands. We were considering going to the nude beach on Hanlan's Point for some good times and tans but the Ferry there had already left and it would have been another half hour wait. So we hopped on the Ferry to Ward's because it looked fairly empty compared to the stuffed with small children ferry to Centre Island. It was gorgeous when we finally arrived to the beach. the sand was so hot, the breeze was just right and the water nicely cooling. we quickly through down our stuff by some bushes and ran into the lake. despite the fact that i smelt like pure pollution at the end of the day, it was perfect. We tanned, we ate so much, we swam, we walked along the board walk, we had a wonderful time. We ended up being burnt pretty bad, but that didn't put a damper on our mood. At around 5 we headed across Queen St. to a Days Inn and settled ourselves nicely in the air conditioning. Again got all romantic and smothered our bodies together. We then had a shower, ate some dinner, got our drink on and headed downtown at around 10pm.
We bar hopped all night and it was really fun. We hit this really classy looking place that was really nice, a bit pricey but i think we'll go back. Havanna was cheap and totally fun for dancing, there were two floors for different types of music, but very clubby all the same. We got totally hammered and got back to the hotel at like 2am or something like that. All i know was that i was so drunk that i passed the f-out.
Mike and I woke up so terribly hung over and waited until the latest moment possible to check out. We drove to the Bloor Village and parked his car down a random street. We got on the subway at Jane and headed to the Eaton Center for some shopping. We ate a ridiculous amount of food because suddenly our stomachs craved food. It was so deliciously greasy and it seemed like a good idea at the time, but then our bodies crashed after the insulin rush. Luckily enough it was time to head back to Jane and Bloor. We ended up being there 15min. earlier than needed so we stopped at a Second Cup to use their washrooms and to share a Berry Tiamo. At 4pm we headed over to the Acupuncture Shiatsu Clinic for Mike's booked appointment to work out the tension in his back. he looked really relaxed when he came out. We then headed back to my apartment for some "good-by-sex" then we packed his car full of my camping supplies. We took forever to say goodbye on the road and it must have looked perfect for a mushy-gushy chick-flick.
And now i'm up in my room waiting for him to call me to say he got home alright.
*sigh* yeah....it was a wonderful weekend
